Hope Bringer Chestguard benefits
If five or six pieces of the equipment that a Hero is equipped with are of the same or higher upgrade type (Hope Bringer, Champion, etc.) it is considered a Set. Your hero gets some bonus benefits for being equipped with a Set. To see what the benefits are for a set, hover the cursor over one of the pieces of equipment. In the middle of the screen that opens up there is a section that says 'nnnn Set' where the nnnn is the upgrade type (Hope Bringer, Champion, etc.) of that piece of equipment. The benefits under (5) Set is what the hero get for Set of five. The (6) Set for a set of six. You also get the (5) Set benefits if you have a set of 6.
If your hero is equipped with a set of five then that section is green. If with a Set of six then both sections are green. Note that the Set of five section benefits are defensive and the set of six are offensive. You should consider this when deciding how to distribute your equipment.
For example if your hero's a Set of six Hope Bringer type equipment then that hero gets all the Hope Bringer benefits. Also, if the hero has four Hope Bringers and two Champions (or above) that hero still gets the all the Hope Bringer benefits.
If you have Set of mixed type (some Hope Bringers and some Champions for example) if you hover the cursor over the Champion equipment neither section will be green because you do not have a Champion Set, but if you hover over a Hope Bringer the appropriate section(s) will be green.
